Ashot Harutyunyan

Ashot Harutyunyan’s art speaks a language of contemporary abstraction grounded in a deep sensitivity to material—at once cold and sensuous, industrial and poetic.

The thoughtful combination of diverse materials and carefully chosen tonalities, in interaction with light, generates new rhythms and depths that shift with the viewer’s movement. Through this carefully considered dialogue, his works move away from traditional figurative representation and blur the boundary between art and design.

Harutyunyan’s style can be described as contemporary abstract plasticity situated at the intersection of industrial aesthetics and sculptural sensuality.

The folds, twists, and flowing surfaces frequently found in his works are never confined to a single association. Rather than offering a narrative, they invite the viewer into a state—a frozen moment of movement.
