Armine Hovhannisyan is a multidisciplinary visual and digital artist based in Yerevan. Her practice spans interactive installations, video, photography, drawing, crafts, and 3D technologies. Through these diverse media, she explores the politics of images, narratives, and repressive histories—challenging them through subtle yet subversive artistic gestures. Her work often blurs the boundaries between fiction, reality, and the imaginary, inviting viewers into spaces of critical reflection and collective imagination. Collaboration lies at the core of her approach, whether through partnerships with other artists or through projects rooted in community engagement. Hovhannisyan’s practice also critically examines gendered stereotypes in contemporary society, particularly the underrepresentation of women in the public sphere, and the broader dynamics of memory, identity, and repair.
